ROPE LIGHTHOUSE DOORSTOP
These natural rope door stops made from 8mm.Grade 1 manila are a unique design to me. They measure approximately 320mm. in height by a maximum diammeter of 130mm. and weigh 2.8k. Larger versions are available to customer requirements and prices adjusted accordingly. See below for another example.

ROPE FOUR STRAND MONKEY FIST DOORSTOP
A sculptural yet very functional item of ropework. Usually made from 20mm.Grade1 manila. This is not cheap low grade rope as used on some imports but the best quality marine rope. They measure approx.190mm.in diameter and weigh between 2.3kgs.and 3kgs.depending on whether 18mm or 20mm rope is being used. The centre weighted core is NOT made of lead or any other toxic material.

A larger version of the above,measuring 230mm.in diameter and weighing in at 5.0kgs.This is a truly magnificent door stop equally at home within the house or as a garden ornament.

ROPE SIX STRAND MONKEY FIST DOORSTOP
Virtually the same specification as the five strand but made with a greater amount of smaller diameter rope which results in a tighter looking finish. This one uses more rope and takes longer to make, but the end result is worth it

NEW SYNTHETIC ALL WEATHER DOORSTOPS
These new doorstops are smaller and lighter than the four strand one as above, weighing in at !.8 kg, and measuring 160 mm in diameter, without the handle. Because they are made from synthetic rope, they are not subject to changes in temperature or humidity, that can cause natural rope to go slack or tighten up. The other obvious attraction is the vibrant colours that are available together with a weight that is still up to the job, and not so large as to fall over them. These doorstops require more time to construct and use considerably more rope, but the end result is well worth the extra effort.

GIANT LIGHTHOUSE DOORSTOP
A truly magnificent eye catching version of the smaller doorstop at the top of the page. This one measures 580mm high by 150mm across the base and weighs in at 5.5kgs and tapers slightly outwards towards the base just like a real lighthouse. These come in various sizes, but this one is about the biggest. Obviously the weight contributes to the postage costs where applicable. (Shown alongside the 4 and 6 strand monkey fist doorstops for comparison ).

ORNAMENTAL DOORSTOP
This unusual style of doorstop is very eye catching because of it's construction. It weighs 1.8 kgs which makes it more suitable for light duty purposes. It measures 230mm in diameter across the base and is 300mm high. It has a double looped handle and sits on a six stranded star knot.

MORE ORNATE GIANT LIGHTHOUSE DOORSTOP
A more complex lighthouse doorstop with an increased base diameter giving it an even greater similarity to the accepted shape of a real lighthouse. This one is similar in size and weight to the one above, but due to it's complexity is a little more costly.

Designed for patio doors where there is a drop down to a lower step or decking. They weigh about 10kg and measure approx. 26cm in diameter. Because of their weight they are ideal for windy locations. Unfortunately, due to this weight, the postage costs make up one third of the price shown below.
